According to the Associated Press, Tennessee quarterback Jonathan Crompton had surgery on Monday on his right throwing elbow.

Athletic trainer Jason McVeigh claimed Crompton should be back to full speed in 3-5 weeks.

Crompton is the assumed starting quarterback for the Volunteers as last year’s starter; Erik Ainge is in this weekend’s NFL Draft.
