Circuit City and YouTubeContinuing with corporate advertisement integration with sports media, YouTube and Circuit City announced yesterday the creation of the Circuit City presents YouTube FANalyst Channel. According to the partners, “the channel, located at http://www.youtube.com/fanalysts, will provide the premiere online destination for Fantasy Football fanatics to get the latest analysis, tips and season predictions.”

In addition to the channel, Circuit City is sponsoring the “Join The Squad Contest” calling out Fantasy Football fanatics all over the world to submit their own FANalyst video showcasing their football knowledge along with their player and team season predictions.

Every Tuesday on the FANalyst channel, eight different Fantasy Football experts and personalities will provide analysis.

“Despite fantasy sports’ massive following, the world has lacked a go-to online destination for dynamic, multiple-perspective Fantasy Football content,” said Chris Di Cesare, head of marketing at YouTube. “With this channel, Circuit City offers fans unique Fantasy Football video content from multiple points of view all produced by the fans for the fans.”

“At Circuit City , we are committed to providing our customers with the very best home entertainment experience this football season,” said Brian S. Bradley, senior vice president - multi-channel at Circuit City . “The Circuit City FANalyst YouTube channel provides a new way for us to engage our core customer base and challenge them to become part of our online community through the ‘Join The Squad Contest.’”

About the Join Our Squad Contest

The Circuit City’s “Join Our Squad Contest”, through the YouTube community, plays off of finding sports personalities.   The contest, located online at www.circuitcity.com/fanalyst, and is designed to challenge Fantasy Football knowledge by submitting their Fantasy Football advice and analysis videos. The videos will be judged on:

  • Entertainment Value
  • Informational Value
  • Originality/Creativity
  • Keeping with the theme

Circuit City announced that they will select the top ten submissions and then the YouTube Community will vote to select the winner. The winner will then be invited to create, upload and share his or her own Fantasy Football analysis video to be shown alongside the lineup of other FANalysts’ programs and presented during professional football’s playoffs on YouTube.
