NFL ON CBS Sees Highest Opening Weekend Ratings Since 1999 PDF Print E-mail

THE NFL ON CBS's regional singleheader action on Sunday, Sept. 7 (1:00-4:15 PM, ET) scored its highest rating for an opening weekend since 1999. 

Highlighted by Brett Favre and the New York Jets at Miami, Kansas City at New England, Houston at Pittsburgh, Cincinnati at Baltimore and Jacksonville at Tennessee, the day's coverage earned an average overnight household rating/share of  11.0/24, up +4% from last year's 10.6/23 and up +24% from an 8.9/20 in 2006.
