Joe PaternoSpeaking at a Penn State pep rally last night, Joe Paterno quashed rumors that he may be retiring by saying that he would coach again in 2009. Paterno is the winningest coach in NCAA Football history with 382 career victories. Paterno, who turns 82, in December said he would "run out of that tunnel next year.”

Paterno, who injuried his hip earlier this year, has had to walk with a cane, and on more than one occasion has coached from the pressbox.
