New Orleans SaintsIn a sign that the economy is influencing the business side of the NFL, the price of going to a New Orleans Saints game will cost you the same next season as it is in 2008.

Under direction of owner Tom Benson, the Saints are locking ticket and parking prices in for the 2009 season at the same rate as this season.

“I believe we have the most loyal fans in the NFL, and the support we’ve had from our season ticket holders since 2006 especially has been unprecedented in our club’s history,” Benson said in a statement. “It’s a streak I wanted to acknowledge and see continue, and freezing season ticket prices is one way to recognize the atmosphere and enthusiasm that they bring to the Superdome.”

To add to ticket and parking prices being frozen, Benson has asked that concession prices in and around the Superdome be kept the same next season, as well.

In other news, the Saints are breaking up season ticket payments from two this season, to three for 2009.
