BlackoutsThe Oakland Raiders game against Denver Broncos will be blacked out on television in the Oakland/Bay Area as the Raiders have failed to sellout their game in the requisite 72 hours in advance of the game. The Raiders barely missed being blacked out for Game 2 of the season against the Chargers last week and had been granted a 24-hour extension to meet the sellout criteria.

And, the Raiders are not the only team dealing with their Week 3 game being blacked out in their local market. The Detroit Lions had over 10,000 tickets available as of Weds. for their scheduled game against the Washington Redskins, falling well short of the sellout threshold  on Thursday – all tickets sold for non-premium seats. The blackout for the Lions covers Detroit, Lansing, Saginaw-Flint and Toledo, Ohio, markets.

Several other teams came precariously close to having their games blacked out this week. The Chargers were able to get in under the wire for their game against Dolphins, and the Cardinals were able to sell their game out, as well, at University of Phoenix Stadium against the Colts.

Last week, the Jacksonville Jaguars failed to sellout their game against the Arizona Cardinals and was blacked out.

Below is a listing of the teams and weeks in the season they were blacked out.
